Info: |
Heuer supplied the Argentinian Air Force with small batches of Autavia 2446C from 1969 to the early 1970s. They had the new compression ‘snap back' cases, sealing the movements from differences in internal and external pressures. Approximately 1200 watches were delivered and they all had the Argentinian Air Force emblem engraved on the case back with the issue number, in this case 654. These were hard-working tool watches, worn mostly by jet fighter pilots, very few have survived and even fewer have survived in this condition. |
